We want to thank Drauca Holmes and the Charlie Company of Weber State college for their presentation of the variety show at no cost to our organization. Deep appreciation is also due to Nick Topik, chairman of the project committee, members of Insights, Mickeys Music, Carols Chalet of Fashion, Church Women United, Epsilon Sigma Alpha and the Kiwanis club members who helped with the ticket sale. George, president of Champion Home Builders Co., based in Dryden, Mich., reported this week that Champion recently acquired 73 acres in Imlay City Township on Graham road, about three miles east of Imlay City, Mich., for building a mobile home plant. Champion is a national manufacturer of mobile and sectional homes, motor homes; travel trailers and related product components. Located in 18 states, it started 18 years ago in a Quonset hut in Dryden, about 10 miles from Imlay City. Construction of the new plant is scheduled to begin in about three months. It will be an 80,000 square foot facility and should be in operation this fall. The firm has announced plans to build a mobile home plant in Brigham City with construction to begin this spring. Anyway, I'm making a resolution to be more considerate of wild animals on this earth.
