Though some may experience poverty instead of prosperity, with hope for the future in your heart, and peace and love for others as well as for yourself in your head and mind, surely though sometimes in need you shall indeed prosper. I would like to say a wish for a very Happy New Year to one and all. Also a Prayer that there will indeed prevail, Peace on this Earth. Several Accidents been have Accidents numerous out on this end of the county. We would like to express our sympathy to the family of Ercy U. Whitaker, who was killed in a one car accident west of Honeyville, at at the Bear River city exit. Our own June Hunsaker is still at home and unable to get around very well. We all wish her the best for this new year and hope she will be better soon. June is our local Post Master. She tells me that with the aid of crutches she can move around a little. Nine members of the Honeyville Civic Improvement club were in attendance at the club's Christmas party on Dec. 30 at Maddox in Perry. This was just' a small number of the members as some had brought their husbands with them. We will have to be sure that one of our New Year resolutions will be to attend as many of our meetings and functions as possible. Those that did attend report that they had a terrific time and lots of delicious food. Those in attendance were Ruth Hunsaker, Bernice Tate, Warner and Sandy Stoddard, Elsie and Homer Canfield, Rea Hunsaker and Lynn and Mary Jane Bowen. Sunday Visit Visiting with the Lynn Bowen family on Sunday was Mary Janes sister and her husband along with their five children from Hyrum. They brought their new tobogan and their new ATC built by Honda. The and the Doyle Bowens Rassmusens really enjoyed the afternoon together in the snow. You just cant believe how fast the times are getting and how close these contests are. Most of them are won by a few hundreths of a second and the really close ones by one I tell you, it really keeps the judges on their toes-go- od thing we have a photo and timing device because a lot of the decisions are made after a close study of the picture. To prove a point, last week Four Seasons Supply was giving a pair of nylon halters to the winner or closest run race of the day. It was a tie and they ended up giving two pair. You should see how the youngsters follow these races. I can all ready spot future drivers. Im sure there are more arguments over whos team can win a race than whos dad can win a fight. n Honeyville Reports entertainment. I un- derstand that Lynn Bowen is a terrific guitar player. Visiting at the home of Warner and Sandy Stoddard this week were Warners mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stoddard and a sister Marlene all from Pleasant View. Also visiting at the Stoddard home was Kay and Ursala Hansen, Ursala is Sandys sister, the Hansens are from Pleasant View also. Snowmobile Trip LaVar and Betty Francum from Deweyville brought their snowmobiles up and took the Stoddard family and all the combined children out for a day of fun in the snow. Betty is the vice president of our PTA here at the Honeyville school. A family gathering at the Crystal Springs brought all the Dickey family together for a day of visiting, songs and a potluck dinner. Those attending were Richard and Carol Dickey of Perry, Kay and Ursala Hansen of Pleasant View, Dallas and Dorothy Gardner of Smithfield, David and Lucille Kelly of Clearfield and Warner and Stoddard of Sandy Honeyville. The day and the gathering turned out to be fun for the whole family. Each family brought all their children so it was a huge gathering. Holiday Dinner Traveling to Salt Lake City to join friends in a New Years Dinner were Jerry and Carol Adams. They met Clarence and Sandra Boren for a lovely night ending up with a delicious dinner at the Hawaiian. The food there is mostly Polynesian and there is a great show depicting a volcano. The Borens live in Morgan. Boren and Jerry work together. The Civic club of Honeyville was surely saddened at the death of Tom Dunsofrd. We met Tom and Nat Allen at a meeting where the two of them hosted our club with a tour through their beautiful home. Allen and Dunsford together owned the Dunalle House, where the Brigham City Post Office was housed for many years. Tom and Nat are cousins and we would like to send our condolence to Nat Allen.
