Practicing for the colorful presentation has been in full swing the past weeks. To be presented in the ward cultural hall Friday, April, 16, the event promises to be among the most outstanding affairs produced by the Corinne elementary students. The time is tentatively set at 7:30 p.m. The students will be in the hall only during their own presentation. The grades will perform their dances or specialty numbers in the order assigned. They will then retire to rooms off stage, leaving ample room for the seating of parents and spectators. The Corinne school has been a busy place as activities for the girls and boys have been carried out recently In addition to the "charm program April 2 and the fashion show on April 7, a father-sonight on March 26 proved a very successful affair. Held in the school's multipurpose room, most enjoyable time was had by the capacity crowd of 142 fathers and their sons. The group represented students from kindergarten through sixth grades. An address by Coach Les Dunn and an evening of games led by Principal Jack provided the group with an evening of entertaining activities. Door prizes were presented to winners during the evening. Refreshments were served to the group by PTA officers that included Mrs. Dennis Jones and Florence Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jones and children, Kathy, Deanna, Dorene and Bryce travelled by pickup and camper to visit the canyonlands in Southern Utah. Leaving early Friday morning they drove to the many scenic spots in the area. They went as far south as Bull Frog Basin, before returning home over a different and interesting route. The Clayton Morrills and children, Gary, Kelly, Tresa and Heidi, motored to Salem on Friday evening. They went there to spend the night with Claytons mother, Mrs. Annie Morrill. The group, which included the elder Mrs. Morrill, travelled to Cedar City on Saturday morning. Their destination was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morrill and their young son, Jack Jr. The group spent the night there, and visiting celebrating the birthday of Mrs. Annie Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Smoot attended the Brazilian reunion held in Salt Lake City that same evening. Bountiful, spent a delightful afternoon with them and a guest, Pearl Baker. She is the author of the book "The Wild Bunch of Robbers Roost." She is reported by the Reeders to be an outstanding personality. Her writings are of early western history, having personally known some of the outlaws. She wrote "Trail on the Water," which is written of tales about "Butch Cassidy. Return Home The Grover Harpers have returned home after spending the winter months at Temple Bar, Ariz. They spent their time there visiting with friends made during their travels, fishing, boating and other hobbies they enjoy.
