FOODTOWN MOW GIVES YOU Co-Pil- ot CORINNE COMMENTS MIA Spring Music Festival Presented by Corinne Wards By Alice F, Davis Music was In the air at Cor inne last week when both of the LDS wards held their MIA Spring Music Festivals at the ward chapel on Mar, 24 and 25. The Corinne ward held a very Interesting activity on Tuesday March 24. The program began with community singing by the congregation. Joan Nelson, Darlene Hansen, Doris Bingham and Dyan Welch sang, I See The Moon. Ter ry Jones played a guitar selection. A reading was given The MIA by Peggy Hansen. mixed chorus sang two num bers. Wanda Thompson played Canadian Ca piano solo, apers. Dyan Welch was In charge of the program, and accompanist was Marie Chlarson. Corinne Ward YWMIA officers are President, Grace Barker, Counselors Marjorie Burt and Norma J, Bosley, and Meltrude Nelson as secretary. YMMIA officers are Superintendent Bill Litchfield, Counselors Dee Har. dy and Deverle Wells, and Jones as secretary. Wil-11a- THE CORINNE SECOND ward Spring Musical Festival was held on Wednesday March 25. President Royal Norman con. ducted the meeting with Ann Norman and Diane Harper In charge of the music. Little Sue Ann Norman and Alice Anne Harper, dressed In their Easter bonnets, spring dresses and gloves handed out programs to all attending. The program con. slsted of opening song by the congregation. Opening prayer was by Bishop Floyd Carter. The theme was led by Karen Smoot. Organist was Ann Nor-madirector Diane Harper and n, assistant, Jesse Reay. The Voice of God Again Is Heard was sung by the MIA mixed group. Two saxophone solos were played by Lloyd Hubbard accompanied by Donna Hubbard. The male chorus I Dream of Jeanie. sang, A ladles double trio, Karen Smoot, Donna Hubbard, Rozan-n- e KUnzler, Donna Smoot, Joan Kelly and Delores Harper sang. The mixed group sang, The Bible Tells Me So. A trum-pduet, Sturdy Men was played by Hal Nelsen and Mar-vl- n Old Things Bunderson. Are Done Away was sung by the ladles chorus. An organ The Choir selection, was played by Bar-- " bara Fillmore. Selections from The Music Man were sun by the MIA group. A saxophone The Holy City, was solo, played by Kent Jeppesen by Clara Jeppesen of Brigham. The final num-be- r was The Lord Is My Shepherd by the MIA group. Closing prayer was by John Craner. Vlslttngfrom the stake were Mr. and Mrs. Byron May and their daughter and Mrs. June Craner and Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Harper. The Corinne Lions Club will again sponsor the community birthday calendar for Corinne et ' residents.
