He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Watanabe of Bear River City. A farewell testimonial will honor him Sunday evening, Feb. IS, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bear River LDS ward chapel with Bishop Roy Braegger presiding. Elder Watanabe will enter the LDS Mission Home in Salt Lake City on Monday, Feb. 19. for a week of training prior to leaving via jet plane on Feb. 27 for his mission headquarters. He is a graduate of Box Elder High school, where he served as studentbody president during his senior year. He is also a graduate of the LDS Seminary at Box Elder.
