Although their names do not appear on the teachers roll books, they have made a big impression on the students in the entire school, already. The two are white rats brought to Brigham City following UEA convention in Salt Lake City. They are gifts of the Utah Dairy Council and through diet given the rats, the students expect to see the value of milk in diet. Gus-Gu- s gets his regular meat, eggs, fish, vegetables, fruit, cereal, bread and milk, but his companion rat, Jacques, has milk omitted from his menu. The rats are the same age and received the same food until they were three weeks old. For the following nine weeks the lack of milk is expected to show in the development of m One-roo- with United Nations Day was presented to the student body of Box Elder High school on Oct. 24, by the Social Science department. The first speaker for the occasion was Linda, Palmer who gave the purposes of the United Nations, which is a world peace organization. It is an naassociation of independent tional states and was formed by the victorious nations of the second World War to keep the peace their efforts had won. Its supreme goal is to end war. Second speaker was Bruce Wright who spoke on the General Assembly which is the great deliberative body of the United Nations. All member states are represented in the Each state may have Assembly. but up to five representatives only one vote. The assembly meets in regular, annual sessions as occasion may require. The final speaker was Neil Todd who gave an account of the Security Council. It requires eleven members and has the primary responsibility of maintaining world peace and security.
