Show Final Services Fram Names New Death Claims Held Monday for Sales Manager Brigham Man Brigham Woman Final rites were held for Mrs. Phoebe Brocksom North, 89, on Monday afternoon, Nov. 19, at 2 p. m. at the Seventh LDS ward chapel. Mrs. North died Thursday, of her Nov. 15, at the home daughter, Mrs. Virgil D. Jepp-soBrigham City. Bishop Lee R. Andersen conducted the services. Family prayer was offered by Robert North. music Prelude and postlude was played by Mrs. Gladys Lund. Following invocation by Glenn Jeppson, a quartet composed of t, Lee R. Andersen, DeLaun Earl and Eugene Wight, sang, accompanied by Mrs. Lucy Wright. Speakers were Mrs. Afton Olsen, Lewis S. Wight and Bishop Andersen. Eugene Hess sang a solo with closing number by the quartet. Benediction was offered by Glade Jeppson. Concluding services were held in the Brigham City cemetery with dedication of the grave by Leland L. Nelson. Pall bearers were grandsons of the deceased, Glenn and Glade Jeppson, Joe, Rex, Robert and Raymond North. Members of the Seventh ward Relief society were in charge of the flowers. Refreshments tour. the visitors the following Legislative Council Will Meet Nov. 28 .With the New Library Law as its theme, the Womens Legislative Council will meet in the Chamber of Commerce rooms next Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 8 p. m. Guest speakers for the evening will be Dr. Joseph A. Ged-deprofessor emeritus at Utah State Agricultural college and chairman of the Sociology department for 25 years; and Mrs. Carl Frederickson, assistant professor of sociology at USAC. Dr. .Geddes and Professor of Frederickson are a book just completed, entitled Libraries, a Social Institution. They have made an extensive study of this subject both in Utah and in Washington and can give valuable information on just the type of new library laws Utah needs. Utah is far behind other states in this respect and greatly needs new legislation regarding libraries. These needs will be discussed and explained at the meeting. ' ' ., Every active citizen should acquaint himself with this information before the state legislature convenes in January, as at that time the new library law will be formulated and introduced," Mrs. C. B. Stratford said in making this announcement. ' The Legislative Council extends an invitation to all interested citizens to attend the meeting. All club representatives are expected to be present in order to carry this message back to their respective clubs, Mrs. Stratford concluded. MAKE THIS YOUR First Grade Pupils Parent Conferences Set High Percentage At Corinne School Irha To Perform at PTA teachers Successful parent conferences were conducted last week at Corinne school, it was announced this week by Lewis Ilarding, principal. According to Principal Ilarding 176 students are enrolled at the school. Records show that only five families were not represented with one or both parents- - at the conferences held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons last week. Two of the six rooms in the school had 100 percent representation. This makes a 98 percent attendance, the school principal announced. First jfrade students at .Lincoln school will entertain their parents at the November meeting of PTA slated to be held Monday evening, Nov. 26, beginning at 8 p. m. in the auditorium.
