As a result of this meeting representatives of various communities throughout the county were selected to serve on a committee to determine the need for such a home or homes and to determine how such facilities should be financed. The committee has held numerous meetings and has obtained advice from some of the best qualified people available. It has determined there is a great need for such facilities in the county. The committee has explored the possibility of having these buildings constructed under religious auspices, soliciting voluntary contributions, inviting private individuals to construct and operate nursing homes here for profit; as well as, to have them constructed by the county with the help of money that is; available from Federal Funds. It has been determined the latter would be more equitable and practical, and strongly recommends it to us and to you. Both the county attorney and the attorney gen-- i eral have ruled that the most suitable way for the county to raise the money is by holding a bond election.
