There was fresh fallen snow and everything was quiet and peaceful outside. The children were helping their parents trim the Christmas trees. Little Jean was getting a snack ready for Santa to eat when lie came to her house. Jean was a little golden haired, light complected girl eight years old. She was the baby of the family, but sites wasn't spoiled. She had been a good girl this year, that is, as good as she knew how, for a little girl of eight. After Jean had finished Santa's snack, she wanted something else to do, for this Christmas was very s'peoial to Jean. She had been iwaitiing for this Christmas for eight years. Jean didnt want toy dolls and things that most children want for Christmas. She wanted something more precious than worldly goods. Reverend Hill told her that if she wanted anything bad enough she would be sure to get mmy chuistidas uy your Holidoy Season be brightened by friends you care for dearly, and friends who care for you and may the pleasure of these friendships remain with yoU all through the coming New Year. She had had her daddy leave the door open so she could see. Jean sat up in bed and put her red satin robe over her shoulders and sat in bed waiting for Santa Claus to come.
