It has been found that steel alloyed with colomblum Is the best material for engines that will " pot melt at the terrific heats our Jet engines generate. For the western world, the major source of the metal is found In Nigeria. New fields in Norway are extensive but have not yet reached quantity production. Russia is reported to have rich colomblum fields In the Ural mountains and in southern IManchuria. .U. The little boy came to the Mr. and Mrs. Glade Wells home and the little girl is the new daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Larson. We more than congratulate these parents and wish them the best. ' This may not toe news to some, but then again It may, that the Golden Spike Inn is under new management. Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Jeppesen have taken over its management and are making extensive improvements tooth outside and inside. I suppose most of the residents of Corinne have noticed the new outside neon signs that t glow through the darkness for many miles. We are very happy and glad to welcome toack to Corinne Mr. and Mrs. Jeppesen and their son, Paul, and do wish them lots of business and sincerely hope their newest venture is Yi great big, booming success. Well, most of the male population of Corinne took to the hills the first part of the week and some were successful in shooting a deer and some were not. However, most of the hunters that I talked to, reported the forests extremely dry and dusty and several told of seeing more than a dozen deer that had not made it through last winters deep snow and had perished. And as usual, the reports of accidents and deaths are coming in. One 'hunter said that in the area he chose to hunt, he didnt even catch a glimpse of a deer, but had he been lucky, he would have been afraid to shoot because the part was so thickly populated with 'hunters. Seems as though the deer are way outnumbered this year. The Corinne Pinochle club held their first meeting at the home of Mrs. Hazel Holmes of Brigham City. Mrs. Janie Jensen won high score prize and Mrs. Norma Bosley won the cut prie. Mrs. Holmes, the hostess Drive On To Make Dad Smell Nice ST. LOUIS. Wo. Because bubbles, an age-ol- d symbol for idle pastimes, has turned out to be the key to qne of , Utahs greatest industries. For without the magic of bubbles, it is quite possible that the mountain of copper ore at the Utah Copper Bingham Mine could not be profitably processed. Many years were spent searching for a better method of removing the 99 worthless material in Utah Copper ore. Finally Daniel C. Jackling and his associates helped perfect . the flotation process. How does flotation work? The flotation departments at the Utah Copper mills at Magna and Arthur contain hundreds of vats full of a mixture of water, chemicals and powdered ore flowing from one vat to the other. Billions of bubbles are created by a "frother chemical and by violently stirring the mixture. The copper particles attach themselves ASSOCIATIONS Granger sided with CIO and AFl UTAH WING AMERICANS who favored the nox- LABOR BOSSES AND THE LEFT FOR DEMOCRATIC ACTION "Captive of the LETS CLEAN 4 BflPPBB KENNECOTT ious Brannan Plan! The worthless material "sinks to the bottom of the vats and goes out to the tailings pond. Thus a new ore milling method was born, born of bubbles! Thus did flotation help make possible the great Utah Copper enterprise which today accounts for 30 of the nations newly mined copper. In excess of $120,000,000 annually is expended by Utah Copper for payrolls, tax payments, supply purchases and other expenses, the benefits of which reach into every home in every city, town and farm in our state. Directly or indirectly YOU, your family and all Utahns benefit by this continual "blowing of bubbles. ' B 1 11 S 1 0 COPPER CORPORATION Want GRANGER?
