McCann and children, David and Kathleen. Mrs. McCann is the former Dorothy Larsen and her husband does scientific research on plant life for the U. S. government. He visits all state colleges In the New England states and maintains at Green Belt, headquarters Maryland., The Larsens, along with Dr. and Mrs. McCann and Mrs. Vir-giMinear, spent four days on a trip that took them to such interesting places as Williamsburg, Richmond and Jamestown, Pennsylvania; to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson and returned through the Shenandoah valley over the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. They visited with and were entertained by a number of friends while in Washington, D. C. and had the pleasure of attending the Harvest of Harmony, held In Constitution hall. The affair was sponsored by the society for the preservation and encouragement of barber shop quartet singing in America with the District of Columbia chapter presenting the program to over 8000 people. Mr. and Mrs. Larsen had breakfast in Washington, D. C. at 8:30 and traveled with 100 other passengers on a DC 6, arriving in Salt Lake City at 5:30 oclock where they had supper with another daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Meacham. The trip was immensely enjoyed by the Kith for Childrm indudtt y Mr. and Mrs. Ira Larsen J Christmas Parties Planned At Perry Teacher Training The Perry Primary teacher training meeting was held Wednesday, November 29 at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Rulon Hirschi. Merle Andrews, counse lor, conducted. The opening song, Tell Me Dear Lord, was followed by prayer by Mrs. Bertha Wight The scripture reading project was conducted by Mrs. Andrews after which a business meeting was held in which plans were made for Christmas parties and committees were appointed. The lesson, titled, A Child was given Needs Recognition, by Carrie Petersen, followed, by discussion. Christmas songs were then sung under the direction of Eva A.
