A little dope on Dade casts a big light on the imjortance of this fight. Dade is 25 years old and won the bantamweight title from Manuel Ortiz on January ltl, 1917, and lost it again on March 11 to the same fighter. Dade has a record o f 10 professional fights and five battles while he was in the marines. He has eight knockouts to his credit out of 32 victories. Peaches Wasatch Lime 38 The Brigham City launched their career in the city open basketball league at Weber gym in Ogden Wednesday evening. After a slow start, the Brigham City boys came up fast, but not quite fast enough, and Wasatch Lime, last years city open champs, pok the long end of a count. The Peaches were hampered with by a manpower shortage, only six players in uniform. Don Malmrose had trouble sinking field goals, but showed up well on free throws to rank as high point man. At the end of the first quarter the score was 17 to 5 for Wasatch, and the game was decided. The Peaches gained evfour ery quarter, but lacked points of catching up. Starters for the Peaches were Malm-rose- , Don Malmrose, Elden Jack Hadfield, Ish Peter Ward Teams Win The Box Elder North stake finished their games last week with the Fourth ward and Eighth ward teams out in front with two wins against no defeats. The 8th ward team opened the evening by defeating Honey-vill27 to 20 with J. Poulsen leading the winners with 14 points. In the second game of the evening Bear River hit a hot streak to submerge Corinne by a 45 to 21 score. D. Christensen and R. Jensen, were the big guns in the Bear River attack scoring 19 and 5 points resptvtively. The Fourth ward ended the evening by keeping pace with the Eighth ward team as they poured 21 field goals through the nets to dump the Seventh warders 54 to 24.
