Harris which was a fund raising pro- ject, sponsored by Chesters brother-in-la- Miss Ute Uhrig of Bruhl, Germany was met at the Salt Lake City airport Sunday by her and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Roderick and Cami. Miss Uhrig plans to visit with the Rodericks for six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Darwin Hoskins have moved into their mobile home here from Layton upon Hoskins retirement from Hill Air Force base after 29 years of employment there. He was foreman of the electric checkout unit for the past five years. They are the parents of two married daughters. Mrs. Gibbs Allen and grandchildren, Troy and Lori Allen left Wednesday for Walla Walla, Wash., where they will attend the wedding ceremony for Mrs. Allens niece, Miss Linda Reger and William Young May 14th and the reception honoring the couple. They also plan to visit with Mrs. Mary Pieper and Mr. dau-ghe- r, and sister and their friends, for the building of a new chapel in that community. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris visited at Rexburg Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Craig Smith and daughter. Ami. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Howell were guests of their and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. don Forsgren and family of Thatcher, Idaho for several days during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris were among Mothers day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gleed of Malad. Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Ward and Wards mother of Ogden visited with relatives and friends here Sunday. and Mrs. Ralph Reger and family of, Walla Walla, and with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Danielsen and family of Enterprise, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd VanNoy were overnight guests of Boyds brother-in-laand sister, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thomas, Friday enroute to their home in Boise after a Caifornia vacation. Funeral Services Mr. and Mrs. Josh Hawks and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morris were among those who attended funeral services for Dee Christensen, 70, at Copperton, Thursday. Christensen was a brother-in-laof Mrs. Hawks. Miss Lois Stringham of Ogden arrived Sunday to care for Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley at their home for an indefinite time. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Nielsen and family entertained at a Mothers day dinner party at their home Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielsen of Garland as guests. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall spent Thursday at Lava Hot Springs and at Pocatello visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Halford. Mr. and Mrs. Chester P. Neal a dinner dance at Howe, Idaho. Wynn John were among those who attended open house in honor of Mr. and Mrs Wm. Colton at Malad Saturday evening on their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Nelson and grandson, Dustin of Mantua and Dennis John of Malad visited with Mr. and Mrs. David P. Gibbs Saturday. On Sunday Sherry Gibbs of Monroe, Ut. Dawn Shaw and Debbie Coombs of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Lamb of Plymouth and Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Gibbs and daughter, Valeen of Kays-vill- e visited with them. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Thomas and family of Brigham City were Saturday guests of Dales parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thomas Saturday. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shaw and family were their dinner guests. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielsen attended a banquet at the community center at Brigham City in honor of Governor Scott Matheson Friday evening. Mrs. Glen Morris was the guest of honor at a mothers surprise party Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Morris and family of Ogden. Other guests were Glen Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Johnston and family of Woods Cross, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Callister and family of Ogden. Knudsens Visit In California Mr. and Mrs. Moyle Knudsen returned to their home Sunday night after a weeks vacation trip to California. They attended a Boys club convention at San Diego, visited with their son, Les Knudsen and family of Monrovia, their son Brent and his wife at Hacendia Heights, Mrs. Knudsens sister, Mrs. Erma Hansen at Beverly Hills and spent a day in Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Gibbs were Mothers day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Green and family of Tremon ton. That afternoon Mrs. Gibbs accompanied her son Val Dee Gibbs to Logan to get his wife, Karen and new baby son and brought them to Plymouth to spend a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Starr before returning to their home. The baby boy, their first child was born Friday, May 6. are Mrs. Loretta Starr of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. (Bud) Hall of Hopkinsville, Ky. Jensen 5 Deloss Parley Jensen, 78, of Riverside, died Thursday, May 12, 1977 at the Bear River Valley hospital of a heart attack. He was born May 27, 1898 in Spanish Fork, a son of Neils Parley and Jerome Lindsey Jensen. He married Esther Ward June 1, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He was a retired farmer and dairyman. He had served in the past as high priest group leader and Sunday school teacher in the Belmont ward. He was a past director of the Intermountain Farmers associ- a ation. Surviving is his widow of Riverside; two daughters, Mrs. Reed (Thola) Lowe of Grace, Idaho; Mrs. Max (Mary) Adams of Tremonton; six grandchildren; 13 Also surviving is a brother and five sisters, Hyrum Jensen of Spanish Fork; Mrs. Delila Pierson of Ogden; Mrs. Armon (Ovena) Hampton of American Fork; Mrs. Tommy (Alice) Franklin of Vista, Calif;) Mrs. Russell (Della) Rouse of Cano-g- a Park, Calif.; Mrs. Ruby Dudley of Payson. Funeral services will be conducted Monday in the Belmont ward chapel at 1 p.m. Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Belmont ward Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial in the Riverside cemetery. Sorensen, 85, of 875 Victoria street, Inglewood, Calif., Eta IDdkso3 died May 12, 1977, at his home of natural causes. He was born Nov. 15, 1891, in Bear River City, a son of Joseph and Selma Salin Sorensen. He was an active member of the LDS church and served as the first bishop of the Marvista ward in California. He held many other church positions during his life, including serve missions to ing two full-tim- Sweden. He was an active member of Rotary club and of the chamber of commerce of Culver City, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Veda Sorensen of Inglewood, and two sons, Neal Sorensen and Blair Sorensen; two daugh- ters, Gae Romero and Dawn Rasmussen; 17 grandchildren, 13 one sister, Essie Peterson. Services will be held Monday, May 16, at the Marvista ward. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brigham City cemetery.
