QUESTION: Just how long should I keep a thermometer in my childs mouth to be able to read his temperature correctly? ANSWER: Believe me, this is a really-goo- d question because the normal four minutes for taking an adult temperature is usually too far little time where children are concerned. A recent test of 40 children (ages 7 to 12) showed that only about 10 percent of them registered their correct temperatures at the end of a four minute period! This test showed that it takes longer for boys temperatures to register than girls and that the average, child should keep the thermometer in his or her mouth for at least ten (10) minutes. And, come to think of it, if theres any question in your own mind about your ability to read a thermometer correctly please remember were always glad to show you how to do this. . Former mayor to speak for bosses breakfast cli taxes we only think of money, but there are other things we must consider. Ben Franklin said, The taxes are indeed very heavy, and if those laid by the government were the only ones we had to pay, we might more easily discharge them; but we have many others, and much more grievous to some of us. We are taxed twice as much by our idleness, three times as much by our pride, and four times as much by our folly; and from these taxes the commissioners cannot ease or deliver us by allowing an abatement. So, pull up that old easy chair and well learn whats been happening around town the last few days.
