Parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. ElvinG. Mitchell, honored the couple at a reception in the ward cultural hall following the ceremony. A wedding dinner was hosted by the .parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Craghead. The bride wore a gown of twinkle organiza styled with a bodice of lace beaded with crystal and pearls and complimented with full bishop sleeves. The gowns skirt formed a brushed train bordered with ruffles. Her cathedral veil length was edged with crystal and pearl beaded lace. She carried yellow and white into baby roses nestled "' A 2A I? All friends and relatives are invited to attend a reception held in their honor that evening from 7:30 to 9:30 at the Brigham City North Stake center. Miss Nelson is a 1976 graduate of Box Elder High school and a four year LDS Seminary graduate. The prospective bridegroom is a 1973 graduate of Box Elder High school and four year LDS Seminary. He has attended Brigham Young University and will continue his education there this fall. He has also fulfilled an LDS mission in France. Mansfield, West First North, will be guest of honor at an open house on Saturday, Aug. 28, in observance of her 80th birthday. She will received guests in the Community Center lounge, 24 North Third West, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Mrs. Mansfield was born in Ogden on Aug. 31, 1896, to John Aardn Roby Gibbons Minerva Berry Gibbons. She was married to Heber C. Mansfield on Sept. 15, 1913, at Malad, Idaho, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. He passed away in November of 1967. An active member of the LDS Church, she has held offices in Primary and Relief Society and is now a visiting teacher for the Third LDS ward Relief Society. She has served as captain in the Daughters of Uta'h Pioneers, and is a member of the Civic Improvement club. Mrs. Mansfield countinues to be very active in pursuing her many hobbies which include making quilts, crocheting, and 223 rJr One hundred Girl Scouts and friends have concluded a delightful week of camping, hiking, crafts and fun at the annual Box Elder Day Camp held Aug. 0 in Box Elder canyon campground. Arriving each day at 9 a.m., g the girls began with 16-2- Mrs. LaVerne Mansfield i ties as archery, painting rocks, nature hikes, camp cooking, and community singing. Each day closed with retiring the colors at 3:15 p.m. A special activity of the first kerchiefs day was and unit flags, with each camp unit being identified by their own color for the remainder of the week. Under the direction of volunteer Virginia Horton and Linda Bakken, a crew of volunteer' women and senior scouts took charge of the camp activities. As always in Girl Scouts, the girls planned and chose most of their own program for the week. Other volunteer leaders included Sally Manzara, business manager; LaWanna Johnston, equipment manager; JoAnn Butler, shopper; Martha Shoun, nurse; and unit leaders were Willie Nelson, Marilyn Ayotte, Carolyn Lee, Pauline Dolling, Pat Werling, Eula Strayer, Pat Spence, Charlene Goodliffe, Tina Lomaquahu, Ellen Bolieau, Aubrecht, Elana especially working in ceramics. She is the mother of four children: Stanley B. Mansfield of Concord, Calif.; Mrs. J. Gordon (Helen) Felt of Brigham City; Sidney G. Mansfield of ElCajon, Calif.; and Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Franklin of Castro Valley, Calif. She has 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The entire family extends an invitation to her many friends and relatives to visit at this special occasion, requesting that no gifts be brought. Good- win. In addition to the fulltime volunteers, others travelled to the camp for one or two days to direct special craft activities. Craft coordinator was Sarah Yates assisted by Zane Sader-holSue Brumbaugh, Betty Hendrickson, Carol Lemon, Lynn Tugaw, Martha BurkPhyllis Henderson, Sarah Moultrie, Lettie Barnes and Mary Lee Johnson. Family reunion provides time for visiting It was' a very special occasion for the descendants of Lars P. and Eliza Reeder Nelson as they gathered last weekend for their first reunion in 20 years at the Bowery in Rees Pioneer Park. Mrs. Mae Balls, organizer of the family reunion, reports that 143 family members were in attendance and publicly thanked all families who supported the activity. Representatives were present from the families of Luella N. and N.P. Jeppesen, Katie J. and Lafayette R. Nelson, Rose B. and Serrell R. Nelson, Maria S. and Woodruff R. Nelson, Iva N. and Claude R. Barker. Ora N. and David O. Anderson, Mae N. and Myrland Balls. The family members were gathered from Arizona, Michigan, Canada, Idaho and several Utah localities. Watt family reunion held in the Petersen Park in Elwood. The event was held on Friday evening and all day Saturday, with programs held both days, and family dinners enjoyed by those in attendance. Representatives of all the families were present, with the Watts having had 12 children and raised eight of them. There are 52 grandchildren, 186 greatgrandchildren, and 100 August, The J. O. Barker family reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Willard park bowery. There family members enjoyed genealogy meetings, programs, and dinner with a large crowd of descendants in attendance. George Darling Watt was church reporter for Brigham Young in the pioneer days. Family members travelled from Oregon, Washington, California, and the intermountain states for this reunion.
