Mrs. Joan Richards was chairman for the event. A minature parade started off the days festivities with youngsters dressed as characters in nursery rhymes. Older Primary children were dressed in Bicentennial costumes. Games were available throughout the day. A ladies ball game was enjoyed with Fielding vs. East Garland and Beaver Dam. East Garland-Beave- r Dam won with a score of Luncheon and goodies were on sale throughout the afternoon. An amateur rodeo was held in the Keith Coombs rodeo arena with younger boys participating in calf riding. A mens ball game between Fielding and Tremon-to- n Fifth ward resulted in Fielding being victorious. A street dance climaxed the evenings entertainment with music by the Westernaires. Indianapolis vacation Mr. and Mrs. Quintin Hess and daughter Becky have returned from an enjoyable vacation in Indianapolis, Ind. with their son Quintin Hess Jr. They went and returned by plane. Attending the DUP Jubilee held in the Bear River City church building Wednesday were Mrs. Voylet Grover, Mrs. Millie Welling, Mrs. Mabel Hansen, Mrs. Esther Coo nbs. They were accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Holman of East Garland. Mrs. Lovinnie Holt has returned after spending four enjoyable days in the Uintahs with her and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stokes of Ogden and her son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Jack Holt and family of Bountiful. Spending a few days during the week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hess and family was Freds mother Mrs. Lavona Hess of Ogden. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover and family son-in-la- were their daughter Chelsey of Blackfoot. Earl who has spent the past week visiting the Dan Earls in Blackfoot accompan- ied them back to his home in Travis and son-in-la- w daughter Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall of Ogden. Idaho visit Mrs. Voylet Grover is spending this week in Hagerman, Idaho visiting hen and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Eldon (Ernfia) Anderson and family. She will also visit her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. 0. LaVar Justesen in son-in-la- w Gooding. Spending Wednesday and Thursday visiting Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Mason was their son Phil o Mason and his friend Ron of Los Angeles. Kaylene and Debra Anderson of Ogden spent the weekend with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Herman Potter while their parents Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anderson were attending the horse races in Pocatello. Marian Smith spent overnight with his cousin Daren Scoffield in Riverside Friday. A cook-owas enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith Saturday. Mrs. LaDene Zundel spent a good share of her time in the Cooley hospital in Brigham City during the past week visiting her sister Mrs. Darlene Hurd of Snowville who was recovering from surgery. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss had a delightful surprise when Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bourelle of Surrey, British Columbia were their dinner guests. Elder Kim Moss who is fulfilling an LDS mission in Vancouver, Canada had the privilege of bapizing Wayne Bourelle as a member of the LDS church on April 1, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Bourelle were on their honeymoon. They enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Moss home. Miss Jannette Morris of Tremonton also attended the dinner party. Wood products taken at school Brigham City police are looking into a report of a theft of and other lumber from carpentry shop at Inter- plywood the mountain school. Police said an estimated $1,000 in wood was believed to be taken from the shop. The theft was reported Tuesday. One thing I most enjoyed were the trips on which my American family took me. Some of the places I went looked like another planet, but after all, Disneyland was my favorite.
