Show Never missed BOX Daughter scores 26 years Wedding perfect attendance West When Sarah Marble, Seventh North, joined the Fort the of camp Brigham Daughters of Utah Pioneers back in September, 1948, nobody realized that she was beginning a record of 26 years of perfect attendance at camp meetings. In fact, not many of the members realized that she had accumulated that record, for they have each missed a few times for illness and trips and many have joined since Miss Marble became a Friend to All the committee began questioning and searching for information to use in her sketch, a number of interesting facts about Miss Marble came to light. All remarked on her love and concern for the members of the camp, for the people in her ward, and for her neighbors. If anyone is sick, or has a special occasion, or there is a death in the family, Miss Marble is right there with food and a friendly word. In fact, one neighbor She knows more remarked. about the people around here than anyone else in the neighborhood. Her interest in people has been very useful in her membership in Daughters of Utah Pioneers, for she is one who has helped to search out many histories of pioneers and places and who digs in for extra information and facts when it is her turn to give the lesson. In appreciation and tribute to her devotion to DUP, she was presented with a book "Our Pioneer Heritage by Kate B. Karla Bessinger welcomed everyone here and conducted the meeting. Holly Walker led us in the Work song, Club Everywhere. Janna Walker gave the prayer and the pledge of alligence and motto was given by Christie Coleman and Lelani Muhlestein. We then had a demonstration on the proper way to care for our teeth by Kristie Coleman. She showed us how to floss and brush our teeth correctly. Holly Walker gave a demonstration on how to use an electric mier safely. We had an experiment on acid milk to show the importance of useing cold milk when we mix it with fruit. We made Milky Way Punch and Fruit Flavored Milk. They were very good and nutritious. We reviewed the importance of milk in our daily meals. A summer briefing program for all those who have accepted positions in the PTA will be held July 10, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Bear River jr. high school in Garland. The School of Information will include both South Box Elder and North Box Elder councils. Members attending are encouraged to bring all questions with them concerning the functions of the PTA. It is also an opportunity to meet the other people who will be working in the organization for the coming school year. Friday luncheon, a tour of the Railroad Museum at Corinne, and a visit with Carrie Christensen in Bear River City were also included. After a breakfast at Crossroads Cafe, a ride to Ogden for matinee dancing at the Golden Hours center was enjoyed. A memorable evening was spent at the home of Mr. and A. Mrs. Jensen, Wayne following a delicious dinner served by the hostess, daughter of Thomas Kimber. On Sunday a first visit to an LDS church was followed by dinner at the Red Baron. There was new snow on the mountains and some highways the day they arrived, so they saw how Utah looks in three seasons. It rained most of that first day and then spring came back to stay. They loved Utah, and especially the- wonderful people m and around Brigham, according to Mrs. Kimber.
