Show I V Open House to Honor Couple on Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. George H. Bott will be guests of honor at an open house observing their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. at their home at 101 East Seventh North, Brigham City. The Botts were married on Aug. 10, 1921, in Brigham City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. a previous marriage. The couple has 27 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren OPEN HOUSE auxiliaries throughout their Mr. and Mrs. George H. Bott will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary at an open house on life and have taken part in its youth functions, Two children were born to the couple, with both daughters still residing in the local area. They married Sunday, Aug. 29. are Mrs. Lamont (Elsie) Yates and Mrs. Palmer (Barbara) Tingey. He has five children by Students Complete Enviromental Job Several Box Elder High school students underwent a program in environmental education this summer while working for the Youth Conservation corp. Clifford Wendell, Ritchie Olsen, Dan Bryson, Owen Beesley, Gary Duncan, Mike Nowak, Cortney Henri and Ralph Raisor were among 50 students from throughout norther Utah to participate in the program at Weber State college. The group was divided in two and half the students put up picnic tables and built campsites in East canyon while the others cleared foot trails near Causey reservoir. During the eight weeks at the WSC, where they were housed in the dorms, the youths also spent six hours a week with environmental education classes. They were paid for their work and recreational activities included swimming, attending shows, baseball games and a rodeo. Program Ages The program was open to 15 to and applications had to be made at the high school with recommendations from counselors. Any youths who participated vyill have a chance to have the same job next summer. The program also gives a good background for those students interested in forestry career. Alma Tilley presided at the event which was conducted by Richard Kendall. The opening song, "Improve the Shining Moment, was directed by Lottie Tyson with Carolyn Petersen as accompanist. Earl Glenn gave the invocation and Richard Kendall performed a piano solo. Blanche Burt spoke on the Good Will of Neighbors. Singing children were led by Carolyn Petersen.
