Show Tougher Than Decathlon Lady Golfers Division Tourney Held Last Thursday in Logan Members of five northern Utah participated In the annual invitational tournament sponsored by the Logan Country Club on Thursday, July 19 Clubs participating were Bngham City, River- golf clubs side, Ben Lomond, ElMonte and Logan Brigham City ladies copping honors in the tounament included Alma Bryant with low net. Marguerite Rich with consolation prize, Leona Boothe with most 8s, and Aldea Rush with high score on No. 4 . WINNERS FROM Riverside club were Georgia Rothjean with low gross, Collen Hicken with low net, Lavern Stacy with consolation, Dons Beck with most 8's Ben Lomond winners were Viola Plyor, Florence Walford, Louise Hart, Alice Wise and June Hague Jonnie Wendy Wangsgaard, Lois Moss, Beth Cragun and Inez Marler copped honors for ElMonte. Exceeds Past The response of Utahns to the Heart Fund appeal exceeded all previous years, according to a final report released by Dr Marvin Lewis, president of the Utah! Heart association. Locally, Box Elder countys campaign raised $4,603 97, an increase of 21 percent over 1961s $3,786 57. Chairman of the North Box Elder drive was Mrs. Harold Petersen of Garland South Box Elder chairman was Mrs F. W. Dallon of Brigham City. Final state campaign figures showed total contributions of $109,-15- 2 76, an increase of more than 10 percent over 1961 In addition, the Utah Heart association realized $4,765 42 in interest income and membership dues.
