BO Sheldon Nelson of Weston, Idaho, was arrested the morning of July Fourth on a charge of drunken driving and driving without a drivers license by Trooper Leonard Jeppsen. Jeppsen made the arrest near the Corinne River bridge, when Nelsons car narrowly escaped crashing into the rear of the Patrol car driven by Trooper Jeppsen. -Nelson was taken before City Judge Ida Merrell Saturday, where he was fined $250 and 125 days in jail on the drunken driving charge, plus $50 and 25 license days on the no drivers charge, Jeppsen said. Judge Merrell stipulated that 15 days of the jail sentence must be enforced even though the fine is FUSTIC BAGI wrinkiee. Available in Brigham City exclusively paid. at Are Available For Students There are ten vacant chairs in the orchestra class for Box Elder Junior High school students, it was announced this week by J. Wayne Johnson, instructor. The unusual part about these ten vacant chairs is the fact that the instruments are there wait- ing to be played, Johnson said. The Box Elder Board of Education has provided two violas, five cellos and three string bass instruments which may be rented by junior high school students. Cost of rental amounts to only five dollars per school A second attractive feature concerning these instruments is the fact that the Board of Education also provides free instruction for students to learn to play these string instruments. A mid-terclass will begin Friday morning at 9 a. m. .for students who will be in the seventh, eighth or ninth grades this fall, who are interested in learning to play any of these instruments. Classes will be held twice weekly, Johnson said. Parents of these students may contact Johnson, phone 576, prior to Friday morning so the available instruments can be assigned. Students who take advantage of this opportunity to learn these instruments will be able to register for an orchestra class when school starts this fall so they may continue their instruction, Johnson concluded.
