Green, has declared himself a Democratic candidate for state from District representative A B. Two. Dr. Green, a resident of Bear years, filed River valley for 30 for the post last week. He has practiced dentistry in Tremonton for the past 25 years and currently is operating a ranch at Promontory. His government experience includes a term on the Tremonton city as oouncil. He also has served president of the Lions club and bishop of the Tremonton LDS First ward.- He presently is a member of the Bear River stake council. Woodyatt is a veteran of World War One and has served on the Willard City Council and on the Willard Water Board. At the present time he is retired, due to the Bureau of Reclamation taking his farm for the Willard Reservoir. resiWoodyatt is a dent of W'illard, and is married to the former Pearl Tams, also a native of Willard. They are the parents of two daughters and a son: Mrs. Ray (Mary) Reese, Mrs. Dee Glenn (Ida) Smith, both of Brigham City, and Glenn Woodyatt of Willard. Woodyatt feels that he understands the problems of the farmers and is interested in the of all residents of Box Elder county. Erie Compton, Tremonton, has entered his name in the race for county commissioner. two-ye- ar Tremonton Demo Files for County Commission Post J. Erie Compton, Tremonton, this week filed for the two-yea-r county commissioners post on the Democratic ticket. Compton was born and raised in Box Elder county, having lived here all his life. During this time ,he has been active in civic and political affairs. At the present time, he is engaged in farming with two sons. He has spent a number of years working for both the state and county highway departments. He is an active member of the LDS church and served for many years in the Sunday school and bishopric of the Thatcher ward. Compton explained that his experience in business, farming and highway work qualifies him for the county position. He pointed out that if he is elected, he will be abel to devote his full time to the betterment and growth of Box Elder county. Edward D. He atterfded Weber college and graduated from Utah State University with a masters degree in agricultural education. Ward has been a resident of Brigham City since 1933 and taught vocational agriculture at Box Elder High school for 16 years. Since 1948, he has been associated with the institutional training program in Box Elder county. He also is agent for Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States in this area. , An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he is a Seventy in North Box Elder stake, and is a member of the stake Sunday school board and teaches the in the Eighth Junior ward MIA Ward has taken an active part in community life in Brigham City, having been a charter member of the Lions club and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
