Show Retirement of Mrs. Minnie P. Jackson -- From Telephone Company Is Announced The Mountain States Telephone company announced this week the retirement of Mrs. Minnie P. Jackson. Mrs. Jack-sowill retire on Oct. 19, with 28 years of service as an operator in the Bfigham City traffic , department. and Mrs. Jackson was born raised in Brigham City and began her employment in 1922 at the time J. H. Clive was manager of the local exchange. During her early years with the company she held various assignments including evening chief operator for ten years prior to her resignation in 1935 to move to Rock Springs, Wyo. She and her husband, Harry L. Jackson ' later returned to Brigham City when in 1942 she again came back to work as an operator continuing her employment until the present time. Mrs. Jackson stated that when returning to the telephone company in 1942 it was only to help out during the war years since operators were needed to care for the Bushnell Army hospital and that she did not plan to work but a few months. She further stated that she has n : . J Mrs. Minnie P. Upon retirement she and her husband plan a three to four week trip to San Diego, Calif., where they will visit (friends and relative. Upon their return they plan to spend much time enjoying their hobbles and the comfort of their home. Mrs. Jackson will continue- in her capacity as president Relief society of the Brigham Seventh LDS ward. She has a lengthy career of service - in the various auxiliary organizations. She has served as Sunday school teacher for many years and is a former MIA officer and teacher and has served on the Primary stake board.
