Students dress in their new or most unusual sweaters, and during the course of the evening the Sweater Boy and Girl are chosen and in addition, two more luckyi people are awarded a Jantzen sweater when their ticket is drawn from a box. Both Larry and Nancy were for attired in bulky the occasion Friday night and each received a yellow Jantzen . sweater. During intermission, Miss Jean Noble, sponsor of the Athenian club, drew the two Patricia i lucky tickets, naming Bott and Robert Whitaker as winners of the second set of sweaters given away that evening. The boys sweaters were presented to the Athenian club by and the Zundels Mens store, club purchased the- girls sweaters to award that night. Robert Christensen, president of the club, commented that the dance certainly was a success and lived up to their highest ex pectatlons. H. Ervin Stohl, 51, of Tremon-ton- , died Monday morning in the Dee hospital in Ogden of a heart ailment. y El-d- Mr. Stohl was owner and oper- ator of the Stohl Grain Elevator. He had served eight years on the Tremonton city council, and two years as mayor. He was a past president of the Lions club and Junior Chamber of Commerce and had been vice president of the Northern Utah Associated Civic Clubs. . BRHS Readies Production of School Play - The speech and drama departments at the Bear River High school, under the direction of Milton Johnson, are preparing for the presentation of the school play, entitled Three Live Ghosts, on Thursday evening, Feb. 21. in . The play will be presented the Bear River High 'school auditorium, beginning at .7:30 p. m. and promises to be one of the best comedies ever presented at the He was a member of the Box Welfare Board, Box Elder Knife and Fork club and Bear River Valley Kiwanis club. He had served as president of the Elders quorum of the Tremonton Fourth LDS ward; was a member of the Seventies quorum; secretary of the Aaronic priesthood quorum and a ward teacher. He was born July 16, 1905, in Honeyville, a son of Heber N. and Meltrude H. Stohl. The family moved to Tremonton when he was a child. He attended Box Elder High schol and was graduated from Bear River High school. On Oct. 5, 1929, he married Vera Hunsaker in Logan. In 1949 they received their endowments in the Logan LDS temple. Surviving are hjs widow; three daughters, Mrs. Oleen (Reta) Shuman and Miss Marcia Stohl of Tremonton; and Mrs. Owen (Marilyn) Shaw of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; two brothers and a sister: Floyd Stohl of Ashton, Idaho; Earl Stohl of Fall Brook, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Harris of Tremonton.' Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Tremonton Fourth LDS ward chapel with Bishop Reed Giles officiating. Friends may call at the family home at 687 North Third East in Tremonton on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p. m. and Thursday after Elder County 11 a. m. Burial will be in the cemetery. River-vie- Simpson, died Monday morning at the Dee hospital, of a heart ailment following a traffic accident Sunday afternoon. The Simpsons are fortner residents of Grouse Creek and also of Brigham City. Mrs. Simpson received head and chest injuries Sunday afternoon when an auto driven her suddenly by husband, and to the veered right struck a parked car on 25th street in Ogden in front of the Weber gymnasium. The accident occurred when Mr. and Mrs. Simpson were driving to church at the Ogden LDS tabernacle. At first it was thought that Mrs. Sompson died from injuries received in the accident, but a later examination by her physician disclosed that her death was due to a heart attack, according to the head of the Ogden Police Traffic Bureau. Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Twelfth LDS ward. She formerly served i.i the presidency of the YWMIA in the Grouse Creek ward and on the Raft River stake YWMIA board. She was born May 18, 1891, in Grouse Creek, a daughter of E. S. and Clara E. Shaw Frost. On Dec. 30, 1913, she was marired to Heber C. Simpson in Sacramento, Calif. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Surviving are her husband, one son and one daughter: Robert E. Simpson of Ogden, and Mrs. Glen (Leatha) Edgington of Long Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, David P. Frost of Sparks, Nev.; Frank LeRoi Frost of Brigham City; William Frost and Mrs. Thomas D. (Ethel) Warbur-to- n of Ogden. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a. m. in the Larkin Mortuary chapel by Brewer. Bishop G. Stanley Friends may call at the mortuary. He was a stockman and farmer in Rich county where he was a leader in planting alfalfa in the area, and was among the regions first irrigators.
