Show r Tennis Champ, Class of Brigham Native Reunion Thursday Died in Logan Dies of Polio Mrs. Diane Hunsaker , Jones, 28, of 1902 Laurelhurst Drive, Salt Lake City, a native of Brig-,haCity, died Sunday at 6:45 a. m. in a Salt Lake City hospital. She Was the wife of Maurice D. Jones, state assistant attorney general and was former Utah, Idaho and Intermountain womens tennis champion. Cause of death was bulbar 'polio. She had been stricken two days before. She was born June 16, 1928, in Brigharn City, a daughter of Lewis H. and LaRene Dredge Ilunsaker. - Sets 51 ridding All is in readiness for the reunion of members of the graduating class of 1951 from the Box Elder High school, which will be held Thursday evening, Sept. 6 at 7 p. m. in the Eighth ward recreation hall, located between First and Second East on Third North. A buffet luncheon will be served, followed by a short program, after which the group will attend the coronation ball to see the 1956 Peach Queen and attendants chosen. She attended Weber college in Ogden for two years where she was a sophomore class officer and a member of Otyokwa sorority. : In 1950 she was graduated from the University of Utah where she was affiliated with Chi Omega sorority. She taught at Olympus Junior High school for two years following her graduation. Mrs. Jones received the McIntosh Award as outstanding Intermountain junior tennis player at the age of 17. When in high school, she won a Region Two mixed tournament. She won the Idaho womens n in 1948, championship in 1951, Salt Lake City in 1952 and Ogden titles from about 1943 to 1947. She is survived by her husband, her parents of Salt Lake City; a son, Jeffrey, age two daughters, Margo, age 2, and Annette, 3 months; a brother and sister, Monte L. Hunsaker and Joyce Hunsaker, both of Salt Lake City. Jennings may lead to closer control of the flavor of dairy products, members of the American Association Science Dairy learned at a recent meeting here. Jennings has been analyzing dairy materials with a recently developed technique called partition chromatography. Maurice Whitaker Mail Now on Marine Cruise Canyon Mishap Ezra Hugh Packer, of 68, Fielding, was fatally injured when the vehicle in which he was riding overturned on a county road Monday at 11:30 a. m. in Left Hand Fork of Blacksmith Fork Canyon, 20 miles southeast of Logan. Bound for a fishing trip, Thane Packer of Logan, was driving a former Army weapons carrier, accoding to Thomas J. Rowley, Jr., Cache county deputy sheriff. At a sharp turn in the road, the Packer machine came over a rise and met a westbound bus driven by Wilford Anderson, 26, of 41 North Third West, Brigham City, whose passenger was Blaine Jensen, 29, of Mantua. ' The Packer vehicle swerved off the narrow road to avoid the westbound bus. The topless machine overturned into the stream of water and the elder Mr. Packer died instantly of chest injuries. Pamela was temporarily pinned under the machine, but surviving persons in the crash did not require hospitalization. Logan-CachFire department ambulance took the body to Hall Mortuary at Logan. Also assisting in the investigation was A. F. Roskelley, Cache county deputy sheriff. Ezra Hugh (Ez) Packer lived most of his life at Fielding where he was a turkey and poultry man and drove a Bear River High school bus during the school year.
