Mrs. Bergen was a member of the LDS church and had been active in Relief society, genealogical and temple work. She was born Feb. 14, 1882, in Bergen. Norway, a daughter of Engelbrigt K. and Anna R Espelond Bjorndal. She came to the United States in 1909 as a convert to the LDS church, settling in Salt Lake City. On July 3, 1914, she was married to Luther Martin Bergen in Brigham City. He died in 1944. Surviving are two sons and two daughlers, Luther Martin Bergen of Charleston, S. C.; Carl Los Angeles, Lloyd Bergen, Calif ; Mrs Patrik (Neoma) EmIdaho; Mrs. Ted ery, Arco, (Lucy) Earl, Brigham City; 15 grandchildren, several brothers and sisters in Norway.
