Show 4 Box Elder NEWS Large Crowd Attends Fine Arts Tea With Roland and Helen Parry as Guest Artists Roland, and Helen Parry of Ogden were featured guests at the annual Fine Arts program sponsored, by the Kindergarten club lafd I Thursday afternoon, April 5, at the War Memorial home. Mrs. Herman Hadfield was chairman of the Fine Arts committee. A large group of members and guesis enjoyed the presentation by Mr. and Mrs. Parry. The couple discussed composing and also told of various inevents during the teresting writing of words and music for All Faces West." They also told of their friendship with Igor Gorin, internationally known artist, who for the past six years has sung the lead in the pioneer presentation. Intermittently during the program a trio from Ogden, composed of June Hiser, Jackie Maxwell and Betty Erickson, accompanied by Joy Kinny, sang, MovI Shall Come Running, Twenty-Thirand ing On Psalms. Trio arrangements were by Jackie Maxwell taken from solo arrangements written by Mr. Parry. He will enter the LDS mission home in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, April 11, and will leave from there on April 18 for New York City, where he will board a ship for the ocean voyage enroute to Basel. The first program was received with much enthusiasm and commendation by the USAC student body at Logan. Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. From Logan they proceeded to Twin Falls, Idaho, where they performed before the high school student body of that town and where they spent Tuesday night. On Wednesday the group will entertain at Rupert and Burley high schools. Wednesday night will be spent in Idaho Falls. One performance will be given to a combined audience of Ricks College and Madison High School students at Rexburg, Idaho, on Thursday. Also on Thursday, the choir will present its concluding program of the trip to the St. Anthony High School. The students will then return to their homes that evening. In charge of the tour is Director J.
