The report was made by Frank Hosick, vice president of the Intermountain Fire Underwriters association who gave a brief report ph the day'p activities. Twenty-threteams, consisting o an association member and a uniformed Explorer Scout, carried on the inspection program visiting six schools, 12 churches, the .hospital and 231, business establishments and offices. They hung 874 red tags, an average of 3.5 for every place visited. Most common of all hazards was found in the electrical wiring where 382 defects were located. Accumulation of rubbish was fbund at 65 stops and lack of or outdated fire extinguishers accounted for 146. Most serious of those noted were 32 hazards in egress from buildings, 50 for poor housekeeping, 24 for paint and oil, 10 for mops, 12 for improper storage of ashes. Other hazards were 7 chimneys, 4 closets, one on coal storage, three for cobwebs, five for delapidation, one for gasoline storage, eight for heating units, one for plastering, two for rags, three for smoking where it should be banned, six for stove g .
