They are posed here in front of the alter of the Buddhist church in Ogden. ... of Perry, Festive Dinner Party Marks Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Murakami Mr. and Mrs, Sam Murakami, Perry, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aprlil 24, with a banquet at . the Star Noodle Parlor in Ogden, attended by 130 guests. wed-dinA beautiful cake formed tihe center-piece- , framed by yellow bouquets on either side. For the occasion, Mrs. Mura-- r kami wore an aqua floor length gown witih a white orchid corsage. All of their sons and ' daughters together with their children attended the festive rites, as well as Mrs. T. five-tiere- i, Swink, Colo. All seven granddaughters wore contrasting pastel gowns with Corsages. parents of seven living sons and ' daughters, including Mrs. J. Makita, New York City; Mrs. Joe Sumida, Perry; John Murakami, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. M. Yagami, Swiink, Colo.; Charles Murakami, Chicago; Mrs. Yuki Taniguchi, Brigham City; and George Murakamll, Chicago. They have nine grandchildren. Many lovely gifts were re ceived by the couple on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. Bingham Canyon Couple Announce Birth of Son The Relief society room of the Brigham City Eighth ward was the scene of lovely rose tying ceremonies last Tuesday evening, April 26. The welcome was given by Nancy Morrell to parents and other guests and opening prayer was given by Beverly Jeppsen. Symbolism of the Rose was by Marl Gourley followed by Mr. and Mrs. Merrill C. Squires, Brigham City, announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ann, to Leon Poulsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence H. Poulsen. The couple plans to be married in the Logan LDS temple, June 10. The future bride is a graduate of Box Elder seminary and will graduate .this month from high school. The prospective bridegroom Is a graduate of Box Elder High t school and seminary. OF Murakami was Japan' on December born in 1887. 10, Mrs. Murakami was also born in Japan, on September 14, 1888. They were married on.. April 28, 1905 'before Mr. Murakami came to this country in 1907 When he settled in Oregon. Mr. Murakami went back ,to Japan for a visit in 1915 and three years later sent for his wife and his second child. In 1920 they sent for tlheir first daughter. During the war, the family moved to Utah where they have resided since. They are the Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Patrick, Leadmine, Bingham Canyon are the parents of a baby son born April 25 at the Cottonwood Ma feriity. Home, in Murray. This is the first child for the Patricks. Mrs. Patrick is the former Phyllis Romer. The youngster will be named Edward Anthony. for Maternal grandparents, 11th time, are Mr. and Mrs. Victor C. Romer, Brigham City.
