Most of them, probably, rank somewhere between the two extremes. Perhaps Brigham City needs a teen Canteen, perhaps it doesnt. It might be highly successful, or it might be a dud. Anyone youd talk to could give you an opinion on these matters, but the opinions would vary. The only way to be sure is to try it. And that is what the city council has voted to do, provided a six months lease on home of the late the armory building U.b.O. club can be secured. The taxpayers neednt cringe. It looks as if the experiment will cost very little. And no matter how it turns out, we as a community cant afford to pass up even a gambling investment in our young people. If theres a chance it will develop better citizens, its worth a try. over-worke- g One of the candidates for office whose name wasnt on the primary ticket told this one the other day. A fellah said to me, he said, Arent you doing any campaigning for the election ? And I told him, Nope, not a bit. I dont know anything bad about the other fellah, or anything good about myself. So Im just keeping my mouth shut. It isnt just a matter of keeping the county a pleasant, friendly place for us all, regardless of how we vote, before as well as after the election. Its good politics, as well, to avoid the carping, whispering, g sort of campaign that is altogether too, too common preceding elections on any level. In general, here in Box Elder county, we all have pretty much the same aims and ambitions, we all have to live here all year every year and weT be happier if we live g, BUICK 4.00-- U Folds Into Small Space tHfiOUKCiHj and comfortable. We can take our politics seriously, and work for ourselves or our favorite candidates without working against the other fellow. The only kind of that does a political candidate any good is to buy a voter a friendly cup of coffee and not talk politics ng ! Regarding the railroad strike we might admit that we are for labor but without favoring national suicide. Young people have a hard time understanding the power and influence of money in life; so do most of the older folks. Regarding the approaching elections we here as friends, without any grudge or feuds the candidates are for the people. Dependable, Service Easy to Install, no tools required.
