AUGUST A 1 2, 1 976 Busy At 84 Hamblin Rites Hamblin of 338 W. 2060 N. in Sunset to Ted Thomas of 4511 Harrison No. 15, in Ogden, by the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn A. Hamblin. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Willis S. Thomas of 253 W. 4500 S. in Washington Terrace. Greece. They returned to the United States in March of 1930, and settled in Farmington, Utah. While living in Farmington their first child was born, which was a lovely daughter which they named Sophia. they moved to Kaysville and resided on which is now Sunset Drive, U West of Kaysville. They continued farming on this farm for two years, and later moved to the old Gailey farm south of Kaysville. They lived in a two story red brick home on the Gailey farm. They lived at this location for four years, and later had the blessing of twin sons bom on Christmas day, 1934. They named their two sons Nick and John. Mr. Kapos later moved to another farm, which he purchased later. This farm is located on Larkin Lane, 270 South 350 West. He then in 1956 built his first home of his JXj W PETER KAPOS Sunday, August 15, 1976 marks the 84th milestone in the life of Peter G. (Pete) Kapos of 270 South 350 West, in Kaysville. MR. KAPOS will observe his birthday anniversary with his wife and family members. He was bom August 15, 1892 in Aryoryeetika Greece. He is the son of George and Sophia Kapos. He was one of five children, having two brothers and two sisters. He is the only living member of the George KNOWN . ability in farming, Mr. Kapos is proud of the produce he raises. He and his wife Tasia have worked hard together on their farms and they still put in a lot of hard work. Kapos family. As a very small child, his mother died and later his father remarried. His stepmother insisted that he get SINCE 1928, Mr. Kapos has been selling his produce to the Growers Exchange Market in Salt Lake City. Up at the crack of dawn, so he could be at the market when it opened at six in the morn- out on his own. At the age of 10, he found he had no home any longer. His father sent him to work at a foundry in Greece. There he worked for five years for his board and room. He can recall many hardships as a young child while working at the foundry. AT THE age of 17 he came to the United States and was living with his brother Tom. He was employed at the smelters in Garfield, Utah. He also worked for the smelters for six years. In 1916, his brother Tom encouraged him to quit the smelters and come out to Farmington, Utah. Here is where he started his life long job in farming. IT IS most interesting how through friends and relatives he was to meet his lovely wife. He was shown a picture of her and was impressed with the looks of this young lady. He was told that this lady would work very hard f&h hirtCJTe'w&i told that she was neat, particular and a very . good person. They corresponded for seven years, before he was able to get his American citizenship papers in order to be able to bring a wife to America. In 1929 he received his American citizenship papers, and was able to take a ship to go to Greece and get married, Bridesmaids were Miss Sin-d- i Terry Hamblin and Miss Hamblin. He first carried his produce to the market with a horse wagon, later by a Model T Ford truck, which proved to be a faster type of transport- ation. TODAY HE still drives to the Salt Lake Produce houses to deliver com, and zuchinni. Over the years he has built several duplexes in Kaysville and is proud of his life here in America. Mrs. Buhler was born August 19, 1901 in Heber City, Utah, a daughter of Franklin Leo and Maud Agnes Waddell SHE WORKED with the American Red Cross Service at Hill Air Force Base during world war II and also donated many hours of service at the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake City. (Norma) Preece, both of Kays- graduated from Wasatch High School. On October 1, she was married to Walter Buhler of Midway. They resided in Heber City, Midway, Park City later moving to Kaysville in 1921. Mr. Buhler died March 17, 1919 ville; Mrs. George (Doris) Hensler, Salt Lake City; Doyle L.
