The V.F.W. has always been in the forefront of these activities and one of the Jack Klecker, of Layton, Post 8307, has been appointed by National Thomas C. Summer fun in Kaysville is the annual Kaysville City Summer Recreation program under the direction of Paul Smith, City Recreation director. Begins June 8. Held each Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11 at Kaysville City Diamonds. For girls and boys ages 9 to 13. (Plain old sand-lo- t ball.) THE following is a schedule of activities for summer recreation for all ages. Junior ARCHERY: Begins Tuesday June 8. Held each Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9:30 to 10 :30 for beys and girls ages 10 to 15 at the Kaysville City Diamonds. From beginners on. . . Selected participants will compete in county meet on July 21 at 9 a.m. basketball clinic: July 5 through July 16 (10 days) Clinic participants will be grouped by next years school grade: 10th graders 9th graders, and 8th graders Fee 30 a.m. 7-- 9 a.m. 7th Recreational 10:30-12:3- 0. Registration will be $10. at the Davis High School Field House on the first day of held the clinic. Arts and Crafts: Begins Tuesday, June 8. Held at Kaysville Jr. High cafeteria. Use west doors. Fee $5. Ages 8 to 13. Participants may sign up for Tuesday morning classes: 8 weeks swims or Thursday afternoon classes: 8 weeks, 9:30-1- 0. TENNIS: begins June 8 at Davis High School tennis courts. Classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, ages 9 and 10 7 a.m. Ages 11 and 12 8 a.m. ages 13 and 15 9 a.m. No fee. Adult tennis classes can be arranged by calling 376-202- Girls and boys gymnastics: Register June 7 at 9 a.m. at Davis High School girls gymnasium. Ages 8 to 13. Participants will be grouped into classes by ability at registration. Classes will meet two days each week for six weeks and - Monday-Wednesda- y, start- Tuesday-Thursda- y ing June 7. Fee $3. JUNIOR OLYMPICS: Boys and Girls ages 8 to 13. Begins June 8 and practices are held each Tuesday and Thursday 8:30-9:3- 0 at Kaysville City Diamonds. Includes competitive events of baseball throw, and broadjumps-runni- ng 50 yard dash, hops, shuttle run, and crosscountry.
