She and her sister Mrs. Carol Wright of Parowan spent a week at Palm Springs, Calif, as a guest of their other sister, Mrs. Grace Tanner. Miss Julie Nielson and Julie Cottrell entertained at a miscellaneous bridal shower at the Nielson home Saturday Feb. 28 in honor of Miss Diane Timothy who was married March 5 to Blake Webster. Fifteen guests attended. Col. and Mrs. Kenneth for four years. He graduated from basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. and is now at Fort Poulk, La. in training and will graduate from this training April 8. home was not destroyed. Lt. Gillespie and his wife and daughter Mariah have been in Guatemala on a government assignment. He is with the U.S. Army and is assigned to the embassy there. Col. and Mrs. Gillespie still are not able to get a phone call through to them as yet. Mrs. Gillespie is the former Helen Hyde. Mrs. Florence Taylor of Preston, Idaho is staying with her daughter and Mr. and Mrs. DeLamar Palmer. Friends here have received word that Jack Albano has been seriously ill and confined to the hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. His condition is improving. Mr. and Mrs. son-in-la- Albano go to Arizona for the winter months. Miss Lilly Meiners of Salt Lake City was a weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Meiners. Mrs. Ruby Snethen, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hadfield, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hadfield, Col. (ret.) and Mrs. Elmer Mumford, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Umpleby and their families attended the funeral service of their mother, Mrs. Sylvia Abigail Hadfield held Monday at Mr. and Mrs. Neil Cooley and family attended the funeral service of his father, Anthony Cooley, held last week in Salt Lake City. Mr. Cooley was killed in an automobile accident in Mesa, Ariz. Mr. Cooley was a former Kaysville resident. Mrs. Alta Stuart entertained at a family birthday dinner in honor of her husband, Glen on Feb. 21 for 14 family members. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sprague and family visited with her father Nate Thomas whp is ill at the Valley West Hospital, last week. Her mother Mrs. Thomas came to Kaysville Tuesday to visit with them and also visit with her son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. LaMonte Nessen have returned home from an 18 day vacation to Arizona and Mexico. They visited with friends at Tempe, Ariz. and attended meetings for three days at Tucson. They also spent time at Puerto Pensco, Mexico. Enroute home they visited for three days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Nessen at Yuma and also attended the Date Festival at Indio, Calif. Clearfield. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carter and son David of Rexburg, Idaho were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Godfrey. Mrs. Miller died Wednesday Feb. 25 in California. Gail Brewer expressed the same feelings of Mr. Hasler. RICHARD Johnson attempted to answer the objections given by those present. He mentioned the contribution small business has made to our country, and the revenue it would bring to the city in licenses and sales tax. There will be no parking problem.
