THE workshop will be held on Monday, March 22, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Ogden, Weber State College, Student Union Building, Union Theater, 3750 Harrison Boulevard; and on Wednesday, March 24 Salt Lake, Hillcrest Jr. High Auditorium, 126 East 5300 South, Murray. All interested persons are invited to attend. There is no admission charge. According to Theta Johnson, the purpose of the Sew Show is to sewing methods and techniques, and to teach new skills to home sewers. Ms. Johnson, USU clothing specialist, is director TWO-HOU- R up-da- te of the show. GUEST SPEAKERS this year will be Dorothy Hansen, Davis County Extension Home Economist, and Marty Hibbard, interior designer for Eggett Interiors in Smith-fiel- d. Ms. Hansen's talk will be Creative Decoration for Fun She will discuss original design, color combinations, applique, Clothing. embroidery and the use of lace. EXAMPLES OF decoration for childrens clothing will be shown to the workshop par- ticipants. I have really enon the joyed working childrens clothing and feel it is an exciting project, commented Ms. Hansen. The recipient of the clothing is her grandchildren. The home economist spent much of her life as a homemaker for a large family, returning to school after they were grown to get both her bachelors and masters degrees. She taught school in Bountiful for awhile and then took the Extension job with USU In 1967. MARTY HIBBARD is a USU graduate. Her topic is Modern Approach to Combining Fabrics for Home and Apparel. She said she became interested in interior design when she was quite little. I told my mother I wanted to decorate store windows and mother replied that was the job of an interior designer.
