The job these people do, I know, is not realized by many . of our citizens. Standing alertto .assist in time of disaster. Hill Air Force man have done and are doing much to contribute to the well being of our society. Presently, tireless efforts are being exerted in the earthquake disaster of Montana and Wyoming toward rescue and evacuation. This is just one of the many varied efforts they have displayed in their program. The effect of these efforts has been felt by many throughout the years. Hill Air Force Base plays host to a varied population of game: deer, pheasants, doves and quail. If we all could enjoy the security they have inherited here our insurance companies would no doubt loose their present demand for policies. Capt. McDonald and Lt. Takos and their men of the Base Security Division should be commended in their operations. Im sure it would be comparatively easy to loos? sight of the value of our game while charged with a great deal of .responsibility toward the security revolving around this billion dollar installation. But, nevertheless, woe begone to any personnel who would desire to stray from the straight and narrow path concerning our game inhabitants. Im sure one of the highlights of their patrols within this impoundment is the spotting of a rooster scattering into the brush or covey of Quail promenading across their path. Once again I say Hats off to the men of Hill; we give you our appreciation in your work. FRESNO, Calif. (AP) Fivs hundred California deer hunters were questioned about fire and the causes thereof. Thirty-si- x per cent did not know what flammability means. The same per cent did not know there is any relationship between humidity and fire danger. Six per cent said its safer to build a campfire in a high wind "because the wind will keep the fire cool." TUES., WED. AUG. 30, 31; SEPTEMBER 1, 2 'SUICMON S, "AL CAPONE" Davis disease If t!"
