Officer was Howard County sprays Road weeds Clearfield for Spraying puncture weeds and other weeds Is being done on the county roads at this time. The first part of this week the county spraying crew worked through Clearfield, spraying weeds wherever possible. The sprayers are being careful not to spray flowers, shrub3 or trees and watch the direction of the wind so that only the weeds are destroyed. The spray will not kill grass, but only broad leafed plants. tank of The spray is mounted on a truck and at one end of the tank is a bopm that can spray a twenty- - four foot swath. There is one man to drive the . truck and operate the boom and another man to operate the hand sprayer where caution is necessary. .If there are weeds along the sidewalks or streets that have been missed, notify either Grant Parker, weed control supervisor for Davis County, or the Clearfield City .offices and they will do their best to see that the situation is remedied. The county does not spray 6n stfttf rpads, as tfye state road crews take care of that, but the county does spray school church grounds grounds, 400-gall- and city parks on request. Layton buying Purchase of a Layton 6 ton roller for road repair work was approved Monday evening by the Layton city council. Under the new program the builder will still be required to stand the cost of the repair, but will not be asked to do the work themselves. Do not forget thet an honest, .wise seal, a lowly, triumphant trust, a true heart, and a helping hand constitute man, and nothing less is man or woman. .Mary Fawn B.
