There is something about old homes that have been lived in for many years that makes them mellow and inviting, especially during the homey Christmas season. And there is something special about the people living in this house, too. To begin with, "Aunty Dot Parker (as she is affectionately known) is a superlative cook. At Christmas time, spicy cooking smells mingle with the scent of Christmas greens and warm, open fires to make this home even more .inviting. Always the Christm asses of childhood are the ones remembered and yearned for and always they are the ones patterned. So it is with Helen r and Aunty Dot When they were children, they neversaw the Christmas tree until it shone in all its glory on Christmas morning. The Gibsons now put their tree up Christmas Eve, make certain it looks . just right and reserve enjoying it until Christmas Day and the days after. And a beautiful tree it is, too. Last yearr they had two trees. In the charming sitting room was a tree with tinsel, ornaments, icicles and lights. The other, sitting by the large window in the living rpom was indeed a splendid and a similar tree is sight planned for this year. Not on this tree do you see tinsel and lights and a conglomeration of everything. Rather, it is bedecked with bright colored balls only. Clever Jim arranges high. on the ceiling a spot light which shines down on the tree. The invited guest, the casual visitor and anyone walking or riding down Center Street is struck with the beauty of the tree and wishes for one just like it! For from such a tree are dreams made and the three nice people living there know that, too. Traditions are fun, especially when they concern delicious eat- ing! Such a tradition is the one that Miss Parker and Mrs. Gibson inherited from their childhood, along with the recipe for a wonderful Old English Plum pudding. The recipe for this pudding was brought from England by their Layton Club are . r. 7 Stake MIA holds Christmas party The Layton Kiwania having their annual Christmas party for the children treats. , division MIA Dance set For Ogden master of I ceremonies and gifts to were presented each of the honored guests.
