Fioyd, extension forester at the college. Totalling more than JIO.OOO trees, the orders are being made under the federal law which provides for the establishment of a nursery at the college to furnish woodlot and shelter trees to farmers at a nominal cost. Demand for trees has increased considerably since the nursery was first established, Mr. Floyd says. Last year at this date, Mr. Floyd points out. only 03 farmers had ordered, and only 20.000 trees were asked for. He credits the general increase in demand for woodlot stock to the fact that farmers are learning to appreciate the importance of a good woodlot and the value of trees for a shellerbolt Prices of the tree stock average as low as 2c per tree, and orders to date average 200 trees for each farmer ordering.
