Show if A4 Wednesday, April 30, Vernal Express 2003 Obituaries Gladys Campbell ' ;Vi Gladys Campbell Allred died on April 25, 200.3, at her home in Vernal. She was 72 years old. Gladys was bom on July 14, 1930 to Manfred Elisha Campbell and Sarah Ann Richardson. maternal Her grandparents, Archibald Squire Richardson and Sarah Ann Horrocks, helped raise her. Gladys spent most of her early years in Vernal, but moved to Rangcly, Colo., sixin after her marriage on Sept. 17, 1946 to Earl Allred. Gladys and Earl lived in Rangcly for 4.3 years and returned to Vernal in 1989. She was an excellent homemaker and worked for Rangcly School District for 20 years. Most of those years, she drove a school bus for the district. She was a member of the Church of Saints Jesus Christ of Latter-daand served in many positions including Primary president, Relief Society president and temple worker in the Provo and Vernal LDS temples. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, camping and loved her children and grandchildren. She was nursed and cared for by her loving husband during the last two years of her life. She had a heart problem and was diagnosed with cancer only 8 months ago. She is survived by her husband, Earl Allred of Vernal; three children, Raymond (Carol) Allred of Sandy, Utah; Linda (Larry) Steele of Vernal; David (Joanne) Allred of Rangcly Colo.; daughter-in-laPickens Allred of Mary Ann Rangcly, Colo.; 18 grandchildren Dale Dee Blue Hart I), ile Dee Blue Hart, Nov. 16, 1952 to April 24, 2004, passed away at the age of 51. In 1071, Dale met and married Sally Their family includes a lov-nidaughter. Hrandni and a loving son, Diet. Also in his life was his dear mother, l.eora; his brothers. Jay (Evelyn) Hart, Allen (Connie) Hart and Nomian (l)awne) Hart; Hollingswoith. He came to the mountains to make his home and loiever to be in these mountains. He is preceded in death ): by his Joe Hart and step father, Pete Seedig; and many fiicnds who were waiting for linn. Services will be held at the Gateway Saloon and Social Club at 10 am on May 2. On the evening of April 26, 2003, l.eo Jotgensen left behind this mortal hie to once again answer the call ol his Heavenly Father. He was by those whom he loved the most in this life, his wife, his childien and grandchildren. Leo had many accomplishments in this hie. too many to name, but the one he is the most proud of, is his family. He winked lor Questar Pipeline for 31 years where he held positions ranging front pumper to district foreman. He had many friends and retired I eb. 28, 1992. He loved sports, be played softball and basketball. He was on the Chain Gang" for Ihntah High football for 30 years, he loved being with the young men and coaches and held gieat respect for U'HS football coach Curg Belcher. He was an active member of the Chuich of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. He served in many callings High including, bishop, Council, in the Young Men, Scouting, Sunday School, high pi test, faithful home teacher, and most recently temple ordinance Worker in the Vernal Temple. He served with his only companion, two full time Cagayon Dc Oro & Quezon City Mission December 1992- - May 1994, and construction of Vernal Temple April 1995 to November chii-die- n, missions-Phillippine- 1997. Dad will be remembered for his loving heart and kind ways. He never met a stranger that was not soon a friend. He taught his family to w ork hard, and love unconditional. One of his greatest joys in life was sharing the fruits of his labors (the vegetable from his garden) with friends and neighbors through the valley. He is survived by his wife, three children, all his grandchildren and Brenda great grandchildcn. Jorgensen; brother, Kent (Merdene) Jorgensen; sisters, Norma (Bob) Marshall. Bishop Scott Gessell conducted the service, Marie Wilding pciformed the prelude and postlude music. Terry Anderson gave the family prayer. Denise Allen perfoimed two musical numbers, Grandpa and Wind Beneath My Wings. David John gave the invocation. Brad and Kori Andeison perfoimed two musical numbers,How Gieat Thou Art Roosevelt. Each artist is limited to entering a total of three pieces done in oils, or walercoloracrylics, pastels drawings. A $5 per entry fee is charged. First, second and third place cash and ribbon prizes will be awarded. All entries must have been painted within the past two years and all entries must be framed and dry. Pearl Lavina Pace Chivers, age 90, died peacefully at her home on April 26, 2003. Pearl was born on Feb. 1, 1913, to George S. and Rachel Bell Anderson Pace in Hayden. She married Acael C. Chivers, Sept. 30, 1929. He died in 1958. Pearl has lived her whole life in Vernal. She worked for Naples and Central eleas mentary schools from 1962-197- 8 a unit manager and school lunch worker. Pearl was active in many clubs, which included a Quilting Club, where she was well known for her quilts and had made many beautiful quilts. Pearl was also the Young Womens sports director of Davis LDS Ward, she was a visiting teacher and held many other church callings. She loved to work in her garden and always raised a large beautiful garden. Pearl is survived by her children, and daughter-in-laD.A Pink and Mary Chivers; Lorraine and J.T. Lewellen; LaReta and Ben Kimball; Wanema and Dean Butcher; Dora and LaMoine Cameron; Faye Dudley and Sam Bailey; Hazel and Phil Biesinger; one brother. Jack Pace and sister Etta Scotter; step sisters Margie Paulson and Reva Workman; 34 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren, and 29 sons-in-la- She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rachel; her husband, Acael, two infant children, three grandchildren, four brother Ray Ralph Rolfe and 1 Know My Redeemer Lives, with accompaniment by Mary Nielson. Bishop Scott Gessell and Mark Foley spoke. Glade Anderson Shris the benediction, gave Anderson dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Torr McCurdy, Mike McCurdy, Elgin McCurdy, Jared McCurdy, Kenny Stringham and Charlie Mohar. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Mohar, Shawn Stringham, Terry Anderson, Max Anderson, Shris Anderson, Lance Anderson, Greg Hatch, Rory Hatch and Mike Hatch. Compassionate service was provided by Vernal 6th Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park with military honors by the American Legion Posts 124 & 11, under the direction of Thomson-Blackbu- Vernal m Mortuary.
