What has hapi'ciud to the pnqKaI to establish a post olfke in Orem is the occasion of increasing concern to the people of Orem, The proposal was made several months back and applications for the position of post master were invited. Numerous applications were filed with the Postal Inspector at Denver and some investigations were conducted by postal officials in Provo of qualifications of applicants and the proposals as to the location and housing of the office. It was rcjwrted out of Denver that the final check up on the applicants and the proposals for the location of the office had been placed in the hands of the Salt Lake Post Office Inspector. It has been considerably more than a month since this information was received in Orem, and up to date nothing further has occurred so far as is known here. That Orem is entitled to a post office goes without saying. It is probably the only city of its size in the United States with rosy prospects for a large expansion in the very near future, which does not have a post office of its owp. It is not necessary here to present arguments for the establishment of a post office here. The matter should now be well beyond the argument stage, but many citizens are interested to know why it takes so long to handle a routine matter such as the establishment of a post office. In the meantime, many Orem people are hoping that the city officials, the chamber of commerce and other public organizations will continue their efforts to bring the matter to a successful conclusion. .losing honoring Soui'ty veiling trachers, elas Uadi is. txecutive and special officers of the ftaids of Sharon stake was given hy Make board members at the Seminary building Tne-d.i- y afternoon.
