The annual presentation of this impressive and oratorio by a rural community deserves more than passing mention. It reveals a love of the beaut.ful with the necessary talent to present it which is believed exists in rural communities but is not very often expressed. Probably in the entire United States, and so far as we know this is true, there is no other small community such as Sliaron which regularly preg sents the Messiah. Mo one can accurately measure fhe cultural value which comes through its presentation to a community. Particularly was it impreshe this year, presented as it was in the Leautu'ui seating of the new auditorium. The almost perfect acoustics of the budding made it for every person to hear clearly the words and all Uen though of the notes of the various numbers. some of the singers had voices light in volume, they were heard distinctly in fact, one would have been led to believe that the voices were being ami lift'd had he not known the contrary was true. The audience, which entirely filled the building, sat in rapt attention through the hour and a quarter of this delightful and impressive presentation. Again, congratulations to the- director, the singers, and the organizations sponsoring the event. os-sib- le Comment Big January 2. 1942, SLaron the Story Hour at the Orem Mike w,',l bt hi Id Sunday afterwill be hild eaih Frtd.n noon at 3 I1.
