Show THE VO ICE OF SHARON PAGE SIX : Ward News Lake View : SADIE Timpanogos Vineyard MRS. C. H. POULSON, Reporter MRS. GEO. F. WELLS, Reporter Tel. 01 R4 The people of Vineyard are on the verge of raising the roof, for if they dont they will neer get a new ward chapel. Monday, June 29 is the day set for the wrecking of :he old meeting nouse and a cor-liinvitation is xtended to every nne in the ward to participate. However before of the passing our dear old meeting house with i t S numerous memories, plans have been completed for a gala celebration to be staged prior to its torn being down On Saturday evening, June a big dance will be held in ward amusement hall where entertaining floor show will staged, also a plate lunch will be sold by- the Relief Society ladies. Sunday morning every member of the ward and those who have made their home here in years past are requested to be at Sunday school where a splendid program will be given. A photographer will be on the grounds to take a picture of the chapel and all those present. Sunday evening special Sacrament services will be held. Many memories pass through our minds of the past thirty, years, of hours spent in the ward house. The wonderful services that have been preached, the hundreds of babies who have been blessed, the countless priesthood ordinances that have been performed, the socials, parties, dinners, dances, concerts, missionary farewells, not forgetting the Dairy meetings, political primaries, etc., and during that period but one marriage and one wedding dinner are recorded. But more than one hundred funeral services have been held for our loved ones. So with all 'these interesting thoughts associated with the past we gladly turn to the future with happy thoughts of a new, modern chapel. For in this fast moving world, where there are so many wonderful changes being made, wc feel that the old chapel has had its day, and it will be with glad ness and rejoicing when construction is started. Therefore June 29 is to be a red letter day here. The committee in charge as set the date of completion of the new chapel for June, 1937.
