Show : I Tuesday, October 15.107 - Tuesday, October 15, 1957 THE DRAGERTON TRIBUNE Angling Season Closed October 6 Utah's 128 day general angling season came to a close Sunday, October 6, the department of fish and game reminded today. Census records and general field reports from department personnel and fishermen alike indicate creel returns for the season will be one of the best on record. A generally good water table over the state, greater hatchery production than ever before through the use of new fish foods and hatchery procedures, chemical treatment of many waters to reduce or wipe out trash fishes, and many other factors are adding each year to the brighter fishing outlook. Anglers were also reminded that a number of waters are open to fishing all year. These were listed as follows : Ashley Crek below d Mountain road bridge; Bear Lake; Bear River in Utah below the Wyoming and Idaho lines, Benjamin Borham Laker Colorado Slough; Vernal-Diamon- state River; Cove River; Cutler Reservoir; Duchesne River below confluence with Strawberry River; East Fork Sevier River below Otter Creek Reservoir; Fremont Riv--' er below Grover; Green River; Gunnison Ben Reservoir; Hyrum Reservoir; Jordan River and outlet canals; Little Bear River below Hyrum Reservoir; Logan River below Mendon Bridge; Malad River; Miners ville Reservoir; Mona Reservoir; Nontex Reservoir; Otter Creek Reservoir; Piute Reservoir; Pine View Reservoir; Pi ice River below Blue Cut near Helper; Redh mond Lake; San Juan River; River below bridge south of Moroni; San Raphael River; Salt Creek in Box Elder County; Sevier River below .Piute Reservoir; Surplus Canal; Utah Lake; Venice Canal; Virgin River below Zion National Park; Wales Res ervoir; Weber River below Weber Davis diversion dam in lower We ber Canyon; White River in Uinta County; Yuba Reservoir; and ,wa ters east of highway 10. and tributary to the San Raphael River. Anglers who fish these waters were reminded that limits, methods of angling and all other fishing regulations apply the same as during the general season for all waters.
