One was a Dragerton boy, David Abeyta, a bantamweight. By scoring a technical knockout over Gilbert Moore of Louisville, Ky., in 221 of the first round, Abeyta entered . the finals. He may not have won out, but David reserved credit in advancing to same, possibly he may yet be an alternate in the bantamweight for the Olympics, it, is rumored, a credit for Dragerton. A very important festival for our parishioners, with general Communion of the Parish. Friday, November 2, will be All Souls Day, with Masses for the dead beginning at 7 a.m. through to the end. A Halloween party will be held in Good Shepherd hall by the C.Y.O. on Monday night, October 29th as also on Tuesday, October 30th by our Altar Society, All members are invited to be present. Members of Alpha Iota chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met at the home of Lea McKean October II. Program consisted of a talk by Lea McKean, Your Day, Socially. Mae Bowen, Madge Hixon, Betty Elkin, Juanita Rasmussen presented a clever skit Guests were Amelia Johnson, Elma d Mae Lake. Refreshments followed the program.
