Officer Whipple in his letter to Mayor Steve Diamanti and members of the council, said he has accepted a position with the Carbon County Sheriffs force, and will be deputy in charge. of the Dragerton area beginning April 1st. ' In his letter he also expressed his thanks to the city council for their cooperation during his term of employment, and to his fellow .officers for their consideration and help. He feels that the new posi tion will offer his more opportunities to exercise his peace officer -- training. -- E. C.
