Burial was in the Cleveland cemetery. n, There was a time when doctors in outlying communities found it difficult to keep abreast of new developments in the field of medicine. But today in Utah, at least that problem is being solved. Under a new program being carried out by the University of Utah Colege of Medicine and the Utah State Medical Assn., teaching teams made up of doctors from the University staff visit towns throughout the state and hold clinics with local physicians. Most doctors would like to at tend special classes and seminars at the University if they could, but they usually have so many critical cases that they dont dare leave their community without a doctor. So, since they cant come to the college, we take the college to them. Most of the clinics last for an afternoon and an evening, permitting the doctors to attend to their paients during the morning Sometimes, in sparsely settled areas, there are as few as five doctors attending a clinic. But thus far, attendance has always included at least 90 per cent of the physicians in each area, according to Dr. Bowers. We devote the time to what ever, subject the group wants to take up, he explains. The most popular subjects are the use of newer drugs in treatment of in fectious diseases, diagnosis anc treatment of acute surgical emergencies, and new techinques in obstetrics. During February, clinics will be held in Provo and Vernal. Other communities which have been visited, recently include Richfield Price, Logan and Cedar City. The program supervised by Dr. John F.
