Mrs. Monroe has received word that he is now employed b ythe American Cemical Company, Calco Chemical division, in the Pharmacentical Chemical Research section at Bound Brook, New Jersey . Chad worked for this company in the summer of 1951, and after looking over the field in several larger chemical research organi- zations reports that he finds medical chemistry the most attractive. He is also engaged to be married to Miss. Marty Allen, of Asheville, North Carolina. The wedding date is tentatively set for June 15, after which time the young couple plan to reside in Princeto, new Jersey. All-St- ar Medals at The library addition was the The Womens National League At first the enlarged room was rather empty and gaunt but of late, due to the recept of several thousand books from the Cultura Club, and persistant hard work from the school librarian, Mrs. Mary Crawford, it is fast assuming the appearance of a first class library. The potentials are high for the library providing a very satisfying service, not only to the school, but to the East Carbon area. The domestic science room has been finished into a first rate domestic science department. During the first semester sewing was taught. This semester Mrs. Evelyn Varner is teaching cooking in a modem kitchen with fine electric stoves, refrigeration etc. The combination kitchen, dining room and recreation hall has been in use a full month. The in drawing up the plans seems to have forgotten the main purpose of the building and dropped a few fundamentals, but at present it is operating smoothly. This unit not only touched the lives of most of the members of the Jr. High but it is visited frequently by the children of the elementary and by all members of the faculty. . The last unit to be completed is the shop located in the rooms vacated by the lunch. In charge of this department is Roland Hendricks.
