Show WASHINGTON COUNTY NEWS, ST. GEORGE, UTAH Kellwood Company Karnes New GUIILOCK Mr. Henry Bowler, Reporter Speaker In church Sunday were Elders Orval and Bruce llafen. We enjoyed their talk very much. Mrs. Hufen and a granddaughter were with them. son. Mt. Trumbull, Ariz, Mrs. James Bundy, Reporter es I failed again. I was having a real vacation. We started Thursday a. m. and got back home late Monday night. Dirty, sunburned and yes a little tired. But oh what a trip! It would take pages to tell all about the wonderful, inspirational, beautiful and thrilling things we saw and enjoyed. There were 21 of us, Mr. Bundy and I, our son, Bishop James G. and family our daughter, Mrs. C. M., and four children, and three of our Apparel Division Merlins children, from Fre-doni- a. A happy band, out for a good time. And we really had it. James G. and his truck load went over the mountain thru Fredonia to pick up Merlin's family. We with our pickup load went by way of St. George. We met at Mt. Car-- . mel Jet. Thursday. Then headed for Bryce Canyon. Spent some time exploring that beautiful and mysterious canyon, then on to Hole in the Rock." Stopping and seeing any sights along the way. We did not make it to the Hole in the Rock that day. Made carnp in an interesting little place along the way. Friday we went on over to that memorable old Hole in the Rock and it is the wonder of wonders. I have read and heard a lot about that place. But you cant really see it until you do go right there and see it Then to me it is even more impossible than I see it in my Thursday, Aug. 15, 19G3 accident happened that took the lives of so many of those Scouts. We came to a beautiful little camping park on Calf Creek, lovely ice cold water running right thru the park. We parked for the night. Oh it was such a beautiful place with every convenience. It was early to camp, but we were out for a full vacation and weren't in any hurry. We didn't leave till after 10 a. m. Went over the beautiful Boulder Mt and on over to Fish Lake to camp Sat. night, and stay over Sunday. We enjoyed resting in that beautiful cool place over Sunday. The children had the time of their lives through the full trip. We had a program every night and everyone took part. We made Ice cream, Sunday afternoon and had a real picnic. Monday a. m. we packed up h and started our return. Visited Fish Hatchery which was very interesting. Then on to Fredonia where we left part of our group, then on over the mts. to James G.s mountain home, where we topped off our trip with a big weiner roast in the lovely cool yard. Then we and the C. M. Bundy family came on down to our homes. Very happy about our trip, and happy to be back home. other activities is just around the corner. We are packing up and taking off to Boulder City, Nev. to visit withour children there, before we settle down to our wonder) ul work in the temple. Everybody has a little water in some of their ponds. And its roaring around and acts like more rain was coming. So we hope to have plenty of rain and water before the rainy season is over. Anyway we hope the rains will keep coming it rained like that for half an hour, then came in showers all afternoon. We left in a shower. And it had really rained all the way. I never saw so much water. After we came in to Main Street it had slacked off, and wasn't so much water running along the road, but there had been a good rain all the way in to St George. Ponds every where will be full to the brim and running over.
