Mrs. Kathy Strugel will be teaching third grade replacing Mrs. Kelly. Mrs. Bertha Cordova will be working in the Chapter I program of the school. She has had prior experience and has Policy Non-reside- nt The Tooele Board of Education in accordance with SB 232 (as amended 1983) authorizes the enrollment of nonresident students under the age of 18 to schools in Tooele County. Students affected by this policy are those whose residence is not the domicile of the students legal parents or the residence of a court appointed guardian. Reciprocity. Students from other Utah districts may attend Tooele County Schools only after written notification is given to the district of residence and written permission is granted by the Tooele School District. There will be no charge to Utah districts that are on a reciprocal agreement. - Foreign Exchange Students: Foreign exchange students may be enrolled in Tooele School District, without tuition payments, if the student is sponsored by an agency approved by the Utah State -- Board of Education. The Tooele Board of Education must also, in an official meeting of the board, give approval for the students admittance prior to the student arriving in the United States. Foreign exchange students not meeting the above criteria must be approved for enrollment by the Board of Educa tion and must pay such tuitions as per guidelines established by the State Board of Education. "We are in hopes that it will cut down on some of the problems of previous years, said Principal John Rex Shepherd. "We are asking for parents support in the program. The principal reminds parents of kindergarten students that they will need all immunizations updated and completed along with a state birth certificate, eye examination and registered. All new students to the area will also need immunizations updated and completed and have records showing grade placement and registration filled out.
