Show , ' Talkin And speaking of cupboards, have you ever noticed how many of them have doors with hinges on the wrong side? As often as not, they open into the wall, or away from all the action, so that you have to run around them with whatever you get out. Of if you dont move your head before you shut the door, youll get it caught latween the door and a wall. Now that women have gone to work out in the world, some great changes should soon come alxmt. Up to now, the men have l)een responsible for everything that goes wrong. 1 mean, they designed and built all the homes, cars, appliances everything used by women. For instance, men designed refrigerators with all kinds of fancy drawers and cubby holes, plus a million little cracks and crevices. These cracks are accessible to cnimlx., splashes, bits of food and liacteria that produce mold, but at the same time they are inaccessible to 409 and paper towels. Women will change all that. The same men got away with building cuplmards with a sheer drop right to the floor, with no place for toes until the little woman rebelled. Even then they grumbled at the cost of raising a cuplroard a few inches and scoffed at women who couldnt stand a little discomfort. Now that the ladies are doing it, we should see things like curved sink fronts for young mothers heavy with child, or older femmes who are just plain heavy. And anybody who has ever cleaned a bathtub knows that it would le ten times easier if the drain were at the opposite end of the tub from the faucet. I expect the ladies to take care of that little problem right away. If it Is left up to men, they will never build raised bathtuljs so that mothers dont have to break their backs bathing youngsters while kneeling on the floor. Another thing, as far as Im concerned, the top shelves on kitchen cupboards should just be cancelled. What good are they, anyway? They were designed for a Men again!! Women are so much more practical. I'm sure it was the ladies, tired of braving biting cold or stepping on cats while carrying an arm load of groceries or a basket of clothes, who were responsible for attached garages and automatic clothes dryers. The only reason the inside john came into lx?ing much sooner was that men did not crave the sprint from the back door to the privy in inclement weather. But now that women are out in the world, all these things will le corrected. Soon we should le seeing all the cars with seats that turn toward the outside, so that a lady can sit down gracefully, push herself and seat back into the car and turn the seat toward the front. No more awkward entrances and exits to an automobile. For example, the other night we were driving along side one of those pickup t nicks with wheels. The tcenaged driver and his lady looked like they were riding in a sky scraper both of them happy as larks! But just wait until the vows are said, and the family starts to grow. That happy little woman will find that its next to impossible to lift the knee to the chin and hoist oneself the three feet necessary to enter a carriage when one is eight 30-inc- She will wish she knew the words to change that coach back into a piunpkin. There are all kinds of little things that will soon be changed, now that the ladies are taking over like liquid measuring cups that have spouts on both lips so that the homemaker can pour with either the right hand or the left in case holding an electric mixer with the other. I for one can hardly wait. On second thought, if all the ladies are out of the home, whos going to care anyway? she (joint (individual returns) all savers certificate AshmsfordetMitsl mttrwt Penalty And low Of Tax Exemption For Early WRMrawd "TOOELE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION Downtown OHko Ollic 882-432- 2 (TEA0) I 1 (nratA h LFLrf James Harvey Robinson: We like to continue to believe what we have been accustomed to accept as true, and the resentment million tons, a percent increase from last year's re- hay production records cord crop.
