Mr. Johnson was 77. lie was liorn Aug. 14, 1903, in Mcrcur, Utah, to Henry and Lydia Peckhatn Johnson. On May 12. 1924. he married llael Curtis Mav in Farmington, I'tah. She died Sept. 30. 1980. Mr. Johnson worked most of his life in various Tooele County mines. He is survived by his sons, Frank, who lives in Tooele, and Ray, a resident of Boise, Idaho. He is also survived by his daughters. None lived in Tooele County. William and Elizabeth Flinders Matthews and their three children, Ceorge, Tim and William lived in Medfordshire, England and on Oct ober 2, 1850 sailed for America. Mrs. Matthews died at sea and the remainder of the family proceede to ward their final destination. HOWEVER, they were delayed in St. Louis for aliout four years where they worked to earn money and continue their journey, arriving in Salt Lake Valley on Octolier 26, 1855.
